The Land for Life-Initiative was launched on May 8, 2018 by the Forum for Social Studies (FSS), implemented as a pilot project in Oromia Regional State. A workshop during the same month held that reached out to various stakeholders, including regional policy makers, implementing government offices, representatives of civil society organizations, the academia and the private sector operating in Oromia region, to exchange on the idea of fostering multi-actor dialogue and collaboration on land governance.
